Today is the Day
Tonight I have badge testing for Venturers. I'm getting tested for my personal interest badge. My choice? Learn drums. The cool thing is that I didn't fail. I'm pretty happy about that. The lesson I learned from this, you ask? Procrastination is OK. xD

Not Much to Say
Simone visited today! She's a family friend, and she was the first person to see me when I was born, other than my parents and sisters. She's always traveling, so we don't get to see her much. But I love it when we do! We didn't do much today though. We hung out for a little while, looked at old pictures, then went to dinner. But still, it was good. I love her muchly.
So, Mackenzie is really intent on getting a webshow started. Hopefully it'll work out. I think it'll pretty cute, and probably funny. I'll let you know when this happens.

Death
It happens too often. Every day, all around us. We hear about it. I understand old people dying. That's how life is. You grow old, you die. But the amount of young people that lose their lives is unbelieveable. It's amazing that I am seventeen years old, and I have never been to a funeral. I'm lucky, but I feel horrible that so many people have to deal with them.
I have heard of many deaths, but only one person has died that I knew personally. Her younger sister found her hanging at home just over a year ago. I was in the hospital for attempted suicide at the time. My mom called to let me know about it. The doctor wouldn't let me go to the funeral. Looking back, that was a wise decision on his part. I still think about her sometimes. My mom told me something she read sometime ago. She said most times when a person hangs themselves, they change their mind once it's too late. I don't know how this could be proven though.. maybe doctors found signs of struggle?
Anyway, I'm not writing this stuff without reason. Ashley, a girl in my class, knew a girl who died in a car crash this weekend. Yet another Regina teenager gone.
Rest in Peace, Shayna Michel and Tiffany Jordan.

Small Notices
*In regard to my last entry, I spoke to Jesse about my concern. We're cool now, and there isn't anything behind the fact that we're seeing one another less often. His graduation is coming up, and I've become more social. I love my best friend. ^_^
So, I told my friend Jamie about the possibility of code names upon this blog. She got very excited about it and asked if she could have one. So, Jamie shall be called Ferdinand. Don't forget this my inexistent follower!

Introducing..
I wish I could see Jesse more than once or twice a week. When we were dating, I saw him every day. Now, every Monday we have 'Buffy night', and sometimes I see him another day within that week. The man lives five minutes away though! I miss him. But don't get me wrong, I am definitely coping. We've been 'just friends' for over two months now. It's getting easier. I'm getting stronger.
Anyway! I brought Mackenzie (my nephew/brother) to school today. He had a day off, but both my parents were working so I took him along. I always forget how shy he is, until I bring him somewhere with 'strangers'. I'm used to him yelling unnecessarily and jumping around. Today, he was just quiet and polite. It's strange how one person can be entirely different when they're around different people. I like consistency. Like, knowing who you are and not bending to fit the people around you. I'm not implying Mackenzie was conforming, not at all. He's just shy. If he'd been conforming he'd have been loud as usual. I mean like, some people lie with their behaviour. You know those people who are just a different person when you put them in a different group of people? The people that probably don't know themselves at all. If you put them at summer camp, they might appear wise and mature. Then you take that same person and put them at a high school party. You might expect them to be wise again, and mature, but no. They'll get too hammered to articulate the simplest things. I'm having trouble using words to get my point across. I guess I mean, people need to stop trying to fit in or impress the people around them. So many people do it without realizing. If everyone could be their own person, or even know who they really are..

A Blogger?
I've never really gotten into blogging. But really, it's like keeping a journal. With the possibility of code names. I shall make an effort to keep this up.
